The ASDC National Automobile Olympiad

The ASDC National Automobile Olympiad is an endeavor to engage with the school and students, build excitement and raise awareness of the Indian automobile industry.

The competition also aims to recognize young learners for their talents in the field and to assist them in exploring the wide range of career opportunities within the industry in areas like IT, mechatronics, robotics,3D printing, Al, machine and deep learning, analytics, virtual collaboration, automotive design and computational thinking.

About The Automobile Industry in India

In 2022, the Indian automotive industry surpassed China to become the fourth largest country in the world by valuation. The automotive industry in India is undergoing a transformation because of its sustained growth and profitability. The industry currently accounts for 7.1% of GDP and 49% of manufacturing output, generating 32 million direct or indirect employment.

Based on the Automotive Mission Plan 2019-2026, the sector is expected to employ 36 million people by 2026. The Industry will continue to remain buoyant and a significant contributor to the nation’s growth.

About The Automobile Skill Development Council

The Automotive Skills Development Council is a private-public collaboration that works to continually develop and improve automotive skills among youth, making them aspirational and integrated into academic pathways. The council strives to recognise and honour skilling accomplishments.

ASDC is promoted by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), Government of India represented by the Department of Heavy Industry and The National Skill Development Corporation.

Eligibility criteria

The competition is open for students of classes 7-12 across all the education boards.
The entire competition will be conducted online, where schools will have the flexibility to conduct the exam in their computer labs.
There is no age restriction for the students in the above classes.
